Your child taps “Ask a parent” on a blocked page. That sends you the site's name and nothing else; you approve or decline from the dashboard.
Pause the internet
Block every site in Chrome except your allow list, for 15 minutes up to 8 hours. It ends on the timer, or when you switch it off.
Remote Lock
Block every site in Chrome — even your allow list. No timer: it holds until you switch it off, and the Ask button is hidden while it runs.

Can a child just remove the extension?
A browser extension can be removed or disabled, and StudyLock does not pretend otherwise. It surfaces when your child's device stops checking in. You notice quickly and can have a calm conversation rather than relying on a false sense of lock-down.
Does StudyLock read a child's browsing history?
No. Browsing history stays on your child's device. The extension talks only to StudyLock's own server, and the dashboard shows aggregate counts — minutes of active use and pages blocked — not a list of the sites your child visited.
Can two parents manage the same child?
