StudyLock

Refund policy

A first purchase of a StudyLock paid plan is refundable in full within 14 days of the charge, for any reason and without explanation. Renewals are refunded on request where the plan went unused. A refund returns the account to the free tier and stops nothing that is already protecting a child.

What is the refund policy?

A first purchase is refundable for any reason

A first purchase of a paid plan is refundable in full within 14 days of the charge, for any reason. Email support@studylock.org from the address the account uses and the refund is issued — no explanation is asked for, and the plan does not have to have gone unused.

Renewals are refunded on request where the plan went unused

Renewals are not automatically refundable, because the renewal date and price are shown in advance and a plan can be cancelled at any time before it renews. Where a renewal is charged on a plan that has not been used since the previous period, it is refunded on request.

How the money comes back

A refund is returned to the original payment method, normally within five to ten business days depending on the bank. Payment is taken by an independent payment processor acting as merchant of record, and that processor issues the refund — StudyLock never holds the card details.

A refund does not switch anything off

A refunded plan reverts to the free tier. Every rule already in place keeps enforcing, no child profile or schedule is deleted, and nothing stops working on the child's device. StudyLock never uses loss of access as leverage to keep a payment.

Statutory rights are unaffected

This policy does not limit statutory rights. Where consumer law gives a stronger right to cancel or be refunded — such as the right of withdrawal on distance contracts in the EU and UK — that right applies in addition to the terms above.

How does someone request a refund?

Email support@studylock.org from the address the account uses, and say which charge to refund. Nothing else is needed — there is no form, no cancellation survey, and no requirement to explain the decision. A reply arrives within three business days.

A plan can also simply be cancelled instead, from the Plan panel in the parent dashboard. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the current period running to its end; it is not the same thing as a refund, and neither one is required in order to do the other.

This page is the refund policy in full. The same terms appear as the refunds section of the terms of service, which also covers billing, cancellation, and how a plan renews. Current prices are on the pricing page, and the privacy policy explains what a payment does and does not share with StudyLock.
